Research Enquiries
Our volunteers can assist you with your Camden family research. A search of our books, files, and other resources for Camden related family history enquiries starts at $30. Multiple names and complicated searches may attract an increased fee. Please provide a clear research question, and any information you already have relating to your request.
While we have local knowledge of Camden people and their history, the information available may vary, and we may only hold limited information on some families. There is no guarantee of new or detailed information. We may provide further suggestions for your research; however, we do not undertake extensive research for you.
Research requests should be sent by email to the secretary at cafhs2570@gmail.com . Your email will be acknowledged, and forwarded to the research officer, who will advise the applicable fee. Our replies are by email – printed or posted replies are an extra $5 for up to 10 pages.
We are all volunteers, and research takes time, we will respond to you as time permits.
We are a self-funded not-for-profit volunteer run Society. Additional donations for our assistance are greatly appreciated! Research fees, membership fees, and donations assist our Society in providing a comprehensive collection of genealogical resources: maintaining and preserving Camden’s heritage and our local family history.

If you are able to visit Camden, our research room is in the Camden library/ museum complex, 40 John St Camden, and we are open Thursday to Saturday 11am to 2pm. A Society volunteer will be available to assist you. Access to our resources may incur a fee.

Although we can provide some general research advice, we do not provide a comprehensive family history research service. If you are starting out with your family history research, or are looking for general genealogy information, we recommend joining our Society (or your local Family History Society).
