Don’t Forget…..Bunnings Narellan – Sausage Sizzle April 26th 2020

On Sunday 26th April 2020,  CAFHS will be holding their bi-annual Sausage Sizzle to help raise funds for the Society.  This event is one of our major Fund Raisers for the year and we ask all those who can help to speak to Ray or Tony to advise their availability.  Along with raising a substantial portion of our funding for the year,we generally have a lot of fun doing it.

***Planning Meeting for 2019***

The committee is proposing a Year 2019 Planning meeting to be held on Tuesday 29^th January 2019 between 7.oopm and 8.30pm to discuss the ideas and plans for the Society for 2019.  All members are invited and welcome to come along with their ideas and “what YOU would like the Society to do to benefit your research.   discuss those proposed by the Committee.

Some of the activities being considered for next year are:

• Speakers for our monthly meetings for the year – who would you like to hear from
• Open discussion of topics for inhouse and external workshops.
• The committee is proposing a Family History Seminar (Mini conference style event) in around May-June next year- what are your thoughts/requirements
• A new program of Cemetery registrations for all our local cemeteries will begin in 2019 under the capable management of Fred Gibson
• Possible outings to historic and genealogical venues, archives and Libraries.
• We are also considering holding Open Weekends in the Research Room to entice other people and members in to utilize the resources available in the rooms.
• Plus any other ideas that you the members can bring forward for discussion.

 So put this date in your diaries, and we are looking forward to seeing you there helping to drive our Society forward.
